Nichole Cox

PATH Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor

Raised in West Jordan, Utah, Nichole grew up surrounded by animals of all shapes and sizes. As a teenager Nichole spent most of her school hours studying Veterinary Technology at the Jordan Applied Technology Center. In her free time, Nichole enjoyed spending time with the draft horses of the Salt Lake City carriage driving community and working with local animal adoption non-profits. After graduation, Nichole enlisted in the US Army Reserve and dedicated six years to military medical service. During her time in service, she also attended the Animal, Dairy, and Veterinary Science program and minored in English at Utah State University. Nichole spent most of her time at Utah State focusing on equine related studies and spent three years riding with the IHSA USU English Equestrian team as both Secretary and Captain.

Nichole graduated from Utah State in May, 2017 and began working as a wrangler in Jackson. She loved working with the horses and making acquaintance with passerby tourists but wanted to make a larger impact in her community and connect more intimately with the people surrounding her. She is excited to be a member of the JHTR family and work closely with so many incredible people. Nichole enjoys riding, skiing, writing, reading, and hiking as pastimes and loves anything that gets her out of her house and into the great outdoors.
